So, every time we go to a silly romantic movie, the silly romantic heroine is a silly magazine writer girl who turns out to be not so silly. Every time we leave, we walk out of theatre and say, “Was that another magazine girl who finds truth and passion despite her predicament (s)? And did she have an editor just like I did that time in Chicago? And are those my shoes?” Then we laugh. Mommy is a movie, or at least a magazine girl.
